Switchblade, who appear in ‘Playing with Piranhas’ as Philo’s band (performing the song “Nemesis”), are a Sydney-based new wave Australian Heavy Metal band who play gigs all over Australia.

In 2004 they toured with high profile US metal band ‘Machine Head’, and in 2005 released their first album called “The End of all Once Known”.

Recently their original line-up of Sway Drury (vocals), Andrew Najdek (Guitar), Mathew Piccolotto (Drums) and Ben Bessant (Drums) has changed and Switchblade now features new vocalist and frontman ‘Adz’.

They are currently writing new material for their upcoming live shows.
